Rainbow Ski Area Trail Map
Rainbow’s terrain spans 15 km of skiable distance with a vertical drop of 320 meters. The resort is served by 5 surface lifts: a T-bar, a platter lift, a learner tow, and two rope tows. The layout is compact but varied, with natural bowls, ridgelines, and off-piste zones that cater to all skill levels. The southeast-facing aspect helps preserve snow quality throughout the day, and snowmaking ensures reliable coverage on key trails.
Beginners will find a welcoming environment near the learner tow, where gentle slopes and consistent grooming provide a safe space to build skills. The area is visible from the day lodge, making it easy for families to regroup and relax between runs. Lessons are available, and rental gear is offered on-site.
Intermediate skiers can explore trails like The Loop and Ridge Run, which offer smooth transitions and scenic views. These runs are ideal for cruising and refining technique, with wide-open terrain and minimal crowds. The platter lift provides quick access to blue-rated trails with consistent snow coverage.
Advanced skiers will appreciate the steeper pitches on Allan’s Way and East Face. These areas feature natural halfpipes, wind lips, and variable snow conditions that reward agility and control. The terrain is ungroomed and dynamic, offering a true alpine challenge.
Expert skiers can hike to the West Bowl for access to steep chutes and big-mountain lines. These zones are not patrolled and require avalanche awareness, but they deliver dramatic descents and solitude. The terrain is raw and rewarding, especially after fresh snowfall.
Freestyle riders can head to the terrain park near the base, which includes rails, boxes, and small-to-medium kickers. The park is maintained regularly and designed for progression and creativity. Natural features across the mountain also offer freestyle opportunities for those who prefer organic terrain.
