Refreshing! I took my family to Ski Cooper yesterday for the first time and ‘Refreshing’ comes to mind for a few reasons - it’s refreshing that there is still affordable skiing (almost every other CO mountain wants $225+ for a day pass) for 1 person, it was refreshing to arrive around 11am and not only get a parking spot that was close to the entrance (other CO mountains require a shuttle or a gondola to get close to the entrance), but it was also free to park (other CO mountains charge for parking on top of their already ridiculous price for a lift ticket)! It was refreshing that a ski instructor who had a class full of students paused to help my son with his skis bc he saw him struggling. Not only did the ski instructor pause to help, the lift operators offered some advice and help as well. After 2 employees mentioned my son’s skis were too big for him, we decided to check out rentals. Pricing for rentals is the lowest I have ever seen! It was so refreshing to be able to rent my son a pair of skis that were more suitable for his age/size and not pay an astronomical rate for only a few hours. Lastly, Olivia, who helped my son, was truly amazing! She sized my son in better ski boots and skis and answered all of my questions. She was thorough in all of her explanations and really helped us understand how ski boots should fit and sizing of skis. I cannot thank her enough for her help! Although this mountain may be smaller than others, the employees truly seem to care about their visitors and my family plans to ski here moving forward. Thank you Ski Cooper for offering such a wonderful and refreshing environment and experience for me and my family!
